ワイドボーイズ、90m強のルーフクラック”The Millennium Arch(5.14)”を初登

ワイドボーイズこと、イギリスのトム・ランドールとピート・ウィタカーが、ユタ州・ホワイトリムで90m強（300フィート）のルーフクラックを初登した。先日、初登した55mのルーフクラック”Crown Of Thorns (5.14a)”よりも長いクラックになる。

従来なら 3ピッチで登るところを、1ピッチで登りたかったものの、90mのロープがなかったことで、途中でロープの結び替えをしている。また、使用するカムは45個にもなるため、あらかじめギアをセットしたピンクポイントで完登した。

掃除とムーブの解決に4日をかけ、その後一気に登っている。ルートはハンドとフィストがメインで、オフウィズスなどのワイド部分は数メートルというルート。

The Millennium Arch, 5.14 roof crack of fairly epic proportions. Myself and @petewhittaker01 established this last week in the midst of our Crucifix Project trip and very nearly overly toasted ourselves. With 300ft of roof crack, it's not exactly a light undertaking 😄.
